Queer & Trans Prenatal Yoga

I am overjoyed to create a virtual space for queer family builders of all types (and straight allies) to prepare for baby’s arrival-physically, emotionally, energetically, and mentally.

This class series is available on Mondays & Thursdays at 1pm PT/4pm ET for 6 consecutive weeks (with a breaks for holidays noted in welcome email). The upcoming series begin on April 8 & 11. You can register for one day per week or both classes per week at a discount. To register, please fill out this intake form so that I am best positioned to support you. Pregnant folks are welcome to attend with partners, friends, chosen family, or solo.

The cost is $90-150 for the series, to be paid here right after you complete the intake form.

In 2018, when I was a pregnant transman, I learned firsthand the limited resources, knowledge, and experience in the birthing world about queer and trans family-building. I wanted spaces to build community with other queer family-builders! I wanted the books I read and podcasts that I listened to to mirror my experience and commitments as a queer-parent-to-be. I found some online spaces, my partner and I wrote a “Germination Proclamation” instructing our communities in how to be supportive, and I attended only 2 prenatal yoga classes, mostly adjusting my asana practice on my own.

In the spring of 2021, I took a Perinatal Yoga Teacher Training, and I am now certified to host perinatal classes. I have been teaching Queer & Trans Yoga for 15 years now,  and teaching yoga generally for 22 years, and am excited about this new avenue for my work with queer communities. I’m excited to teach not only how to alter common postures for pregnancy, but how to use all of the limbs of yoga to offer specific support to you and your family during pregnancy and leading up to birth.
